Intro

If you are a registered user you can move pages yourself. This page is for requesting that an entire artist and all of its subpages be renamed. This would normally be a herculean task for a user, but administrators have access to a special script that can rename entire artists and all of their subpages while updating the links rather easily.

When requesting a move, please do the following:

• Write the current artists name (in brackets so that it is a link).
• Write the name that the artist should be renamed to (in brackets also even though this will most likely not be a page yet).
• Give a brief explanation of why you think it should be changed. If you have links to sources that describe the true name, etc. that would help me when double-checking before the move.

Once you've made your request, if nothing happens for a couple of days, let one of the administrators know: LyricWiki:Administrators.

Requests

• Overtones Rustic should be renamed to Rustic Overtones because it is the real name of the band. Wikipedia has an article on Rustic Overtones, and a Wikipedia search for "Overtones Rustic" only brings up a search results page (and Rustic Overtones is the first result). • All Nofx pages should be renamed to NOFX for consistency. NOFX is the official spelling. See their homepage, the album covers, Wikipedia, Musicbrainz. Hs 15:58, 9 June 2007 (EDT)

• The pages from Rasmus, The and The Rasmus are problematic: Most exist in both variants. They must somehow be merged – I don’t know what the best approach would be. The Rasmus homepage Hs 15:58, 9 June 2007 (EDT)

• All Wizo pages should be renamed to WIZO. WIZO is the official spelling. See their Homepage, the album covers, Wikipedia, Musicbrainz. The problem is that most song pages exist in both spelling variants… Hs 11:49, 22 June 2007 (EDT)

• There are still many pages for L'Arc~en~Ciel that have incorrect titles. One of the biggest are ones with L'arc-En-Ciel, some of which can be found at [1]. Is it possible to use a tool for this are do they all need to be done by hand?

• Yoko Kanno should be moved to 菅野よう子 (Yoko Kanno) to better match japanese/english integration and the standards created.

• All of the Mc Chris pages should be moved to MC Chris, as he's a nerdcore rapper, not an Irishman.
