UPDATE:
With the MediaWiki being updated, one can now place {{DISPLAYTITLE:the capitalization that should be displayed}} at the top of the page to display whatever correctly capitalized page title is necessary. EX: t.A.T.u..
[edit] Capitalisation
question about capitalization: how should we capitalize artists from foreign countries? --Oinopion 01:46, 10 August 2006 (PDT)
- I think we should follow the rules of each language. This goes for the spelling and punctuation as well. In fact, as far as I know (from [1]), there are only a few languages where All The Words In The Title Should Be Capitalized. Punctuation has special features in different languages, too: e.g., in French, one should put a space before a colon (:) or a semicolon (;), if there should be any performer names like that, of course. [edit] Google Search
Using the Google search doesn't provide a link to create an article. KnightOwl 16:22, 3 November 2007 (EDT)
- Nope it doesn't the best way to add an artist now is by going to http://lyricwiki.org/Artists_Name Bindasj 13:11, 4 November 2007 (GMT)
- And by that he means that one should type in the artist's name into the address manually, such as http://lyricwiki.org/They_Might_Be_Giants. (I removed the link, so that someone doesn't actually go to http://lyricwiki.org/Artists_Name to create a page.) Kiefer talk contribs admin 15:43, 5 November 2007 (EST)
[edit] ogHr
What about an artist named ogHr? Obviously, capitalize the beginning letter, but what about the H in the middle? OgHr or Oghr? I guess you'd also use a Wrong Title template too...
