Like all LyricWikians, members of Esperanza are here to create a site of lyrics. Esperanza tries to improve LyricWiki's community because that in turn decreases stress, increases positive reinforcement, and tends to keep editors happy, productive, and on the project. A stronger community means better retention of new and existing members, and greater interaction in building the site as a whole. In short, Esperanza believes that if we make the community a better place to be, we are also helping to make LyricWiki better.
Esperanza takes its name from the Spanish word for hope. Esperanzians try to spread hope throughout LyricWiki, and Spanish is used in the hope that a segment of the LyricWiki community will never break apart.
