A simple text link to Wikipedia, one without the box and Wikipedia graphic as in the {{Wikipedia}} template, such as Tool, can be created using the wp template:
{{wp|Article=Article_name|Title=Artist Name}}
All divisions of the wp template are the same as for the Wikipedia template, only the name has changed. For example, the following text containing the wp template...
Read about {{wp|Article=Tool_(band)|Title=Tool}} on Wikipedia
...would produce the following result:
Read about Tool on Wikipedia
In this example, the first division holds the template's name (in this case, "wp"), followed by two divisions that specify information for completing the template. The second division specifies the name of the Wikipedia article being linked to. In this case, "Tool" wouldn't be specific enough to link to the band's article, so "Tool_(band)" must be used. The final division specifies the title that LyricWiki users will see, in this case "Tool".
