Community Talk

Hiya, you've mentioned community stuff a couple of times. I haven't put much thought into community things yet... what did you have in mind?

As you know, a site is almost nothing without a community. Now, a lyrics site doesn't need as much of a community than, say, Wikipedia does, but it is still an important aspect of the site. I see we already have a "Song of the X (day, week, month, etc.)"; we should expand that concept and/or maybe have votes on "Best Song/Band/Album Ever", etc. Obviously more ideas can be generated by the community at large according to what they want.

Rock on. Those polls would be cool. I ran into a pretty cool Community Portal on WikiIndex (you may have already run into it in the past). That may be a good place to get ideas. I like how it has different sections for greeting, and tasks, etc.

Polls are definitely a good idea, and the easiest to implement (just ask people the question and have them respond with their bolded answer, a la Wikipedia's "VFD" pages). The different sections on that site don't seem so hard to implement; I'll try to mock it up on our community portal sometime soon.

I also noticed we have a new administrator now, one who knows about PHP/MySQL like you and I. That's great because we can all work on developing and programming custom modules to it (and we'll have to either CVS or FTP them into production).

problem - revolverheld

hello, i have got problem: I tried to fill in a picture of the CD of Revolverheld, but I did something wrong, and now unfortunately it doesn't work. The page says for deleting one picture (it seems there are two pictures) I need to be an administrator. So I thought, maybe I should easily ask one. Also the main page about Revolverheld, which contains all of there songs is just to find by "Revolverheld:" because somebody saved a lyric at "Revolverheld". Could you please help me and change the name of the sites and "repair" the problem with the pictures? thank you very much marion
