I see that you have made some edits to Helpme. May I ask why you changed / substituted the Banner with the HTML code? I intentionally used Banner to maintain uniformity in the tag templates. I know the image was missing (see also User_talk:Sean_Colombo#New_Template) but I believe Banner was constructed in such a way as not to show any picture when the image parameter was not given. --Mischko 15:20, 6 December 2006 (EST)

Could anyone create a bot that can give us articles to create based on the user's previous edits?

What behavior do you want the bot to have? What kind of articles should it suggest? Similar artist? Lyrics pages for artists already worked on? Where should it put its suggestions? Where should the bot look for a list of users to process?

I can code it, I just need to know what it needs to do.

Right now, only a very little code has been written. Partly I am trying to determine how to decide which edits should be assigned to a user, etc. Part whenever I have started testing code, the server is usually overloaded. Partly because I have been trying to get various things caught up on the site. The rest of the delay is due to me being somewhat lazy as I am on winter break from college. I haven't forgotten about this; it is going to take more than just a few days to do this though.

My opinion is that this bot should only suggest articles that are in the Review Me, Split, or Requests for edit/romanization/translation categories. I know that there are many... say Violadores Del Verso articles to be edited/created, but maybe I don't know there is a Marlango album to be reviewed!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Unaiaia (talk • contribs) .

I understand that, however articles marked for edits will get priority. The main problem right now is that I need to determine for a particular user which articles fit that user. I need to find a method that has better results than this does. I am thinking of using the past contributions to find pages for the user. But for instance, determining that I edit Japanese pages often and I should be given more Japanese pages to edit is a little more difficult, especially considering that the code should not check specifically for pages in Category:Language/Japanese.

Like the one on Wikipedia? You should do a merge of {{Shortcut}} with the Wikipedia version, which allows up to five parameters by itself. The constructs are similar to the one used in {{Policy}}.

At that point, {{Policy}} will just reuse {{Shortcut}}, of course.

hi I'm lyricserver and I've been here for a few months. Don't know when Esperanza was created, but I added my name to the list (dunno what else to do with it) and Just wanted to thank you for forming such a group here.
