Wazzok 16:15, 8 December 2006 (EST)
Thanx 4 helpn me out wif dat 1 page! thnk u so much!
Crazeeflootgrrl 22:32, 23 December 2006 (EST)
- No problem, but please use proper grammer when speaking to me, it is much easier to read.

[edit] Batch mover
On line 89, there is a call to $nt->exists instead of $nt->exists()... could that be it? (I don't have a test environment to check)-Sean Colombo 03:07, 4 December 2006 (EST)
- That looks like that would be the problem. I remember fixing that with the other time it shows up in the code. Also, inside of that if statement,
$targetArticle = new Article( $nt ); $targetText = $targetArticle->getContent();
- is not used in that scope.
- - teknomunk 03:11, 4 December 2006 (EST)
- I changed line 89... I'm not sure what you are saying about the if statement... does it need to be changed?
- -Sean Colombo 03:19, 4 December 2006 (EST)
- Never mind, I misread my own code. You can forget about it.
- - teknomunk 03:22, 4 December 2006 (EST)
- Cool, thanks :)
- I'll let you have some fun here if you feel like it (to bask in the fruits of your labor) but if that's not fun, I'll just do it tomorrow. G'Night... thanks again for everything!
- -Sean Colombo 03:26, 4 December 2006 (EST)
[edit] Interviews
I checked out the community portal, they said that you could let me handle the interviews. I don't mind if I have to be interviewed first, but can I handle the interviews? ~~ Sean gorter 06:57, 6 December 2006 (EST)
[edit] Album of the Week nomination
Thank you for nominating Muse:Origin of Symmetry (2001) for album of the week. However, the reason provided is much too large for the space on the front page and I would like for you to trim it down to about 6-8 lines insead of the 26 it currently is. If you wouldn't mind doing this, I will move it to the queue.
Thanks
- teknomunk 23:08, 7 December 2006 (EST)
- I've gutted it quite a bit, hope that's sufficient. Is there any chance of the whole thing being visible when clicking on the summary? I feel such confinement makes just praise impossible ... :/ Oh, and how about putting it in its original position (I mean to say, four nominations have skipped by due to this complication)? :P --Tene 18:39, 9 December 2006 (EST)
- No problem, we just need to decide where to put the full review at and add a link at the end that says something like: (Full review)

[edit] Welcomeh template
Hi, i've seen you're using the Welcomeh template, and i wanted you to know i did some changes to make it (at my opinion) better. Now it should be used as {{welcomeh|User_Name}}. I've already changed the pages where you used it before. I hope you like it, if not... you can always change it, i guess :D --Unaiaia (talk) 04:39, 11 December 2006 (EST)
[edit] If you wouldn't mind...
I'd like your comments on my proposed change at Help talk:Contents/Editing/Formatting/Artists (go to the "See Also section" heading at the bottom, the #link doesn't see to work well since the heading is a link). I would appreciate your thoughts as an administrator. --WillMak050389 20:58, 11 December 2006 (EST)

[edit] (Don't Fear) The Deleter
Greetings, Friend Teknomunk! Uh...You deleted my (Don't Fear) The Reaper nomination for SOTD. Dude. *sniff* Got somethin' against BÖC? Afraid of the cowbell? Hmmm? Or was it simply the devious work of E.T.I. (Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) that did it? Ah well. I'll re-do. It'll go in line right where it's supposed to anyhow! (I think it got caught up in all that Crazyflootgrrl bid-ness is all.) Just an excuse to say "Hey," really. --Kiefer 14:22, 19 December 2006 (EST)
- I don't know what happened to it. I looked briefly at the last few modifications I made to that page and I didn't see where I made the change. Anyways it looks like you fixed it.
- - teknomunk (talk) 14:43, 19 December 2006 (EST)
- It was right above the "Pending" section, and I guess you cut and pasted the pending notice up above Crazeeflootgrrl's stuff, but didn't move my nomination to the queue, just deleted it. Like I said, though, no big whoop. That's the beauty about wiki, eh? It's pretty much all recoverable, right? <Tommy Chong voice> You can't kill The Reaper, man. 'Cause its...The Reaper. </Tommy Chong voice> --Kiefer 14:58, 19 December 2006 (EST)

[edit] Vandalism by Kyle Gorter
Kyle Gorter (talk • contribs), a.k.a. my brother, has vandalized my userpage and the talk page for one of my subpages. Can you block him please? I have given him a warning already and he continues to do it. ~~•Sean•gorter• 03:46, 22 December 2006 (EST)
- I checked the logs and after being given the warning, he has not vandalized your user page. Therefore I have no reason to ban him if he learned his lesson.

[edit] SongBot
Hi, i have the code for formatting songs acording to the new format. I'm testing it right now. Just wanted you to know 'coz i saw it in Janitor's Future Work list. My bot is R2-D2, i hae to ask Sean for bot status. --Unaiaia 11:32, 26 December 2006 (EST)
- Good, i'm running it through small categories first. It's running veeery slow, maybe it's just the server, beacuse i get timeouts... About your suggestion... it's good, can you help me with a list? Just add them here.

--Unaiaia (talk) 18:48, 26 December 2006 (EST)
- Yes, the server gets bogged down around this time every day, and the load won't be lighter for another 2-4 hours when people start going to bed. It is partly the reason I set up a MediaWiki installation on my PC.
- Also, this might be a nearly complete list of all contractions at Wikionary: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Category:English_contractions
- And I will leave you to this and stop trying to fix things. :P
- - - teknomunk (talk,E) 19:01, 26 December 2006 (EST)
- Help me with this:
page.gsub!(/(([Ii])|([Cc]an)|([Cc]ouldn)|([Ww]ouldn)|([Y]ou)|([Ww]on)|([Ww]e)|([Tt]hey)|([Ii]t)|(([Ss]|)[hH]e)|([Dd]on)|([Dd]oesn)|([Ss]houldn)|([Ll]et)|(\\n)|(\s))\357\277\275((ve)|(d)|(t)|(ll)|(re)|(\\n)|(m)|(\s)|([Cc](ause|oz|os)))/,"\\1'\\2") It's not working... and well RegEx give me headache :D --Unaiaia (talk) 19:14, 26 December 2006 (EST)
- I wouldn't use a regular expression at all, I would do something like this:
contractions = [
"I've",
"Can't",
"Couldn't",
"Wouldn't",
"You've",
"You're",
"You'd",
"Won't",
"I'm",
# list the rest of the contractions with the first letter capitalized
]
contractions.each {|contr|
# replace each instance of the contraction
page.gsub!( contr.gsub("'","\357\277\275"), contr )
# handle lowercase instances of the contraction
contr = contr.downcase
page.gsub!( contr.gsub("'","\357\277\275"), contr )
}
- This has been tested on Throwdown:Walk Away and it correctly formats that page. It just needs to have the list of contractions filled in.
- - - teknomunk (talk,E) 19:31, 26 December 2006 (EST)
- Ok... changed, i'll add the contractions! --Unaiaia (talk) 19:35, 26 December 2006 (EST)
- The bot run smoothly today, if you have some time you may want to check his edits and see if you see something strange like the line break thing. I think i shouldn't run it throug big categories yet, i have to make it know when the article is not a song to skip it, also i have to check what happens with already formatted songs or other things... --Unaiaia (talk) 20:18, 27 December 2006 (EST)
- Ok... changed, i'll add the contractions! --Unaiaia (talk) 19:35, 26 December 2006 (EST)
[edit] Changed picture not changing
In your travels has this ever happened to you? I just changed the album art for Mike & The Mechanics:Mike And The Mechanics (1999). It had the album art for Mike & The Mechanics:Mike And The Mechanics (1985), so I uploaded the correct album art, and specified it in the Album template, but when I previewed, it didn't change. I thought maybe a save would do it, but still nothing changed, I reloaded the page, and still nothing. The page is still showing me that it is linking to [[Image:Mike_&_The_Mechanics_-_Mike_And_The_Mechanics.jpg]] Do you know how to get this to work properly? (It should link to [[Image:Mike_&_The_Mechanics_-_Mike_And_The_Mechanics_1999.jpg]]) --Kiefer 20:21, 26 December 2006 (EST)
- It looks like Template:Album checks to see if Image:Mike_&_The_Mechanics_-_Mike_And_The_Mechanics.jpg exists before it will use the
|Cover=parameter. This has been fixed. - - - teknomunk (talk,E) 22:20, 26 December 2006 (EST)
- Hmmmm. Interesting. Thanks for the fix. --Kiefer 23:09, 26 December 2006 (EST)
- It appears as though when uploading an album picture using the "Upload Cover" command on the album page, it uses whatever name the page was created under. I recently uploaded a picture for Bruce Hornsby's "Here Come The Noise Makers" and originally it was under "Here Comes The Noisemakers" So, even though it had been moved to the correct title, the picture when it was uploaded was automatically formatted as Bruce_Hornsby_-_Here_Comes_The_Noisemakers.jpg. Very curious as to why it would do that instead of the page's current title. --Kiefer <img src="/images/5/58/KieferE.jpg" alt="Esperanza" <img src="/images/f/f9/KieferTalk.jpg" alt="Talk!" /> 18:37, 27 December 2006 (EST)
- The template uses the |Artist= and |Album= parameters to create the cover name as {{{Artist}}}_-_{{{Albumn}}}.jpg. So when moving a page, these parameters need to be updated to the correct values.
- - - teknomunk (talk,E) 18:40, 27 December 2006 (EST)
- Grrrrrrr! My bad. Didn't even see that. My bad typing, too. (And bad reference that I used for the album title, as well.) From my early days on the site...but still. --Kiefer <img src="/images/5/58/KieferE.jpg" alt="Esperanza" <img src="/images/f/f9/KieferTalk.jpg" alt="Talk!" /> 18:55, 27 December 2006 (EST)

[edit] --
But, in spanish language, only the first letter must be capital. If you write a capital letter in the others words, that's incorrect. isn't it important? I'd like to write with a good grammar. --The worst user 15:34, 30 December 2006 (EST) PD: Sorry for my english
